I use a clipboard but it doesn't grip that hard it slides as I'm knotting

I use a combination of tape and clipboard. You can use the advantages of both that way.

So using clipboard and tape you would clip the top and tape the lower work until finished

I also use the tape/clipboard combination

I use the clipboard to hold the beginning, yet I do secure it with some tape as well, just in case. Once you have some inches made of your bracelet I secure the bracelet once more with tape to the clipboard, to make sure it doesn't move all that much.

important note: make sure your tape isn't the kind to stick to your bracelet (as in when you pull it off it takes parts of it with the tape so it gives your bracelet this "worn" look) OR leaves a sticky residue on your creation!

I use a butterfly board clip and a hard surface that's similar to a wooden clip board (because I don't like the gaps that tend to exist along the contact point of most clipboard clips and bull-clips). It also makes it possible for me to just replace the clip whenever it gets too loose with a new one instead of buying a whole new clipboard.

some people use tape, I don't because I usually knot too hard and the tape comes off every 5 seconds. you can also use a binder clip clipped to a notebook, or a clipboard, I use both of these and they work pretty well. when I'm making my beginning loop, there's nothing for the binder or clipboard to hold on to, so I tape the strings down, and then once I have my beginning loop done, I switch to a clip. If you're using a clipboard or binder clip, you'll notice as the bracelet gets longer and the end is farther away from the clip, it will be harder to make the knots. once it gets to this point, you can either tape down part of the bracelet close to where you are working, or move the bracelet up and maneuver the clip so it is on the bracelet close to where you are working. hope this helps 🙂

I put mine in the box that I have my string in. Then at some point I got a box that is the same thing just smaller and it goes with me everywhere. Even just to the groceery store. Kinda like my security blanket. 😂

I use a little clipboard. It's one of the more old fashioned looking ones where the clip is more like a big binder clip. I don't like tape because I feel like it makes the string more fuzzy.
