Yes, it does. Otherwise you can create a pattern, but photos do have to be under a pattern @pretty_odd

To add to what @PuPotato has mentioned, I think the only other way to add a photo of a bracelet you made that isn't a current pattern would be to either add the photo as your profile picture and/or create the pattern of your bracelet on the site, submit to be approved and then to post your photo for your pattern.
