Have you watched any video on alphas or read a tutorial yet?If no, MashaKnots has a really good video for alphas. If yes, do you have any specific questions? |

Hello there 🙂I am fairly new with alpha's as well so I really recommend Masha knots, as she is the person who taught me. The link is down below 👇 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_YVFAX9sacw |

Alphas are where it's at in terms of keeping one interested and on one's toes as a bracelet maker, I've found. I am working on trying to get my creations flatter, and it's challenging. People in this community have advised me to get started with alphas by keeping to simpler patterns of two or three colors. Still, I've had a surprisingly difficult time with the simple-looking pattern #91686. What makes it difficult is a light-colored one-knot line that runs through a light background (the stick of the Creamsicle.). I'll be trying this pattern for a third time because I'd like to get it right. I love that this site allows us to post photos. It's an incentive to work hard enough on each creation to make it worthy of showing others.

@vintagegal hi! That’s my pattern, and I have some tips that might help both of you.The first thing you want to do is to have longish base strings to make it easier to knot. Second- knot the pattern while using Masha knots video. I did this with my first alpha and it worked well. Third- my pattern is a beginners pattern, but the tricky part is the color switches on the stick. Be careful when you tie this section with the the stick. It is a vertical column with only 1 knot in each row, so try to make the one knot as visible as possible. Sometimes single knots can get lost in the background. I hope this helps! |

hello! I love making alphas, so I have some tips.when I was making my very first alpha, I watched Masha Knots's (@Racoon) tutorial on YouTube. I will link it below. Make sure to watch a couple of times while making the color switches in the bracelet to get your color switches down. Also, just keep practicing. In March, I made my very first alpha, and I have improved so much since then with practice. hope this helps! ❤️ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_YVFAX9sacw |
