Can you make a tear drop loop but may the latter like normal instead of doing a triangle?

I think if you do a tear drop loop, you have to start the pattern as a triangle since that’s how the loop starts

If you want it to be horizontal you can only go up until the loop then start knotting row by row. Is that what you’re asking?

Ya technically you can, but don’t do the teardrop part that sets up the strings, just make a loop and start knotting
