I saw a mistake in the 4th or 5th row of my bracelet, but I was too far down to go back. I'm finishing it up now and have extra string at the bottom that I can still use. Can I undo about a half inch at the top and just add the length to the bottom. It would not mess up the pattern.

I have done this before and you dont notice a thing! BUT i didnt add it to the bottom, i redid the top. It is an alfa bracelet so you can easily add string to do the color switches. I would say to just redo the top bit (if that is possible with how tight you made your knots, the string itself (some comes undone) and such factors). If it is not possible, think carefully if it is worth it. Is it a mistake only you will see? Or is it one that is very obvious? If it is a very suble one you can always leave it.

If it truly bothers you, and you cannot fix it you think, you can still use it as a guide on how long your string should be! I have a bracelet of 78 rows that i use solely for that purpose, to compare how long the base strings of my next alfa projects should be.
