I would like to make a pattern, but don’t know how, I don’t even know what the difference between alpha and normal is and I’m just generally confused.

I recommend watching a beginner video on both alphas and normals. This way you learn what they are and how to do them.Video on alphas: https://youtu.be/_YVFAX9sacw Video on normals: https://youtu.be/cwTBtpF0TcE Video on knots (for both): https://youtu.be/bClGNDcndMg If you mean designing a pattern, you can only do that on the website. On a phone, click on your username on the top right. On a computer hover over it. Click "create patterns" in the drop down menu. I recommend just trying the normal and alpha pattern generator out. They are mostly really intuitive to use. If you have any specific questions on either of the generators, feel free to ask. |

The difference between "alpha" and "normal" is that the alpha is knotted in rows, left to right. Normals are made with a technique called"segment knotting". To make a pattern you need to know what type of pattern it will be, alpha or normal. Then you need to look at the guidelines to see the rules. If your pattern does not meet the guidelines most likely moderators will not accept your pattern. There are lots of tutorials on how to make patterns and how to use the "create patterns" part on Bracelet book. hope this helps! ❤️

Hi! Im confused about this patter (#16934). When i get to the end of the picture, do i just keep repeating with different colors untill im done? In the picture, the strings start as B-C-A-D-E-E-D-A-C-B, but end as A-B-E-C-D-D-C-E-B-A. So do i just repeat with the new pairs of colors?

@Hale_JASON yes, you just continue knotting the pattern from row 1 and ignore the colours
