I wanted to open an etsy shop. And was wondering if anyone had any tips. So i read something about $.20 that etsy would take from a purchase. and I'm kinda confused about that. 😐

i believe that etsy takes a part of the money you earn from sales because they’re shipping and you’re using their website. you’re sort of paying them for platform usage i believe.

There are two types of fees: listing fees, US$0.20 which you pay regardless of whether the item sells, and transaction fees which are 5% of the sale price. So if an item sells you pay $0.20 + 5% and if it doesn't you pay $0.20.
