Should I start with this Alpha if I'm only a beginner?

I only recently started making bracelets but I've gotten really good at the different knots. I've had my eye on pattern #89623 for a while and was wondering if I would be aiming for something too tricky if I tried it. I don't mind a challenge but if I need to practice for a while longer that's fine too.
Should I try or leave it for later?

I’m not quite sure what you knots look like but if you are confident then sure you can do it! Just a side note most people make this pattern as a shaped pattern.

@AppleBunny I'd like to make it a shaped pattern too. Is that very difficult? I've read through instructions for it and it doesn't seem to hard.

I would say this pattern is alright for a beginner. Making it shaped shouldn't be too challenging.

I'll try it then. Thanks @halokiwi and @AppleBunny.

Trust yourself, you know your knotting structure. If you feel confident, go for it. If knot(tehe) then make another alpha to start. ❤️

If you do end up making it, I would love to see how it turns out, so post a picture if you want 😄

I think you should feel quite comfortable with normal patterns before you make alphas. This pattern would be okay to do, only if you don’t apply any special techniques for the first time. Try the flat alpha technique.
