When I see pictures of bracelets they are always nice and firm but mine are very floppy. How do I fix this? I heard to make your knots looser on alpha bracelets so they are flatter but does that effect the stiffness too?

If you want your bracelets to be stiffer then you need to increase knot tension. I tie my knots super tight and my bracelets could probably stand on their own tbh lol

I don’t have a problem with making my alpha knots tight, as long as they’re uniform. My alpha keychains definitely stand on their own

Use thicker base strings, like crotchet thread or craft cord. I like to use Aunt Lydia’s crotchet thread fashion 3

Make the knots extremely tight like when you pull it to the point where they feel it will rip off. Not to the point where you pull too tighten and then the color knot flips and then you were . done. It takes practice but just try and make the knots tighter

I was doing an alpha (smiley face alpha) and the faces looked more squished. it was just because I was a tight knotter. so yea if your doing an alpha take that to consideration.

Make your knots tighter with more tension. However, f you are using the thread that is twisted on itself and not with the seperate strands, try not to let your thread snap!
