So I attempted my first alpha bracelet today, and for the most part iI really liked how it looked! I used the same type of string for all because I was told it helps keep the bracelet even and neat. But I noticed that as I continued the bracelet, the threads get thinner and thinner with each use/knot. Is there a way to fix this? Is it something to do with how I'm tying my knots? Thank you! |

Are you sure it is the thread itself that is getting thinner? In this case you might be pulling the string too tight. It is a common issue that alphas get thinner the further you get because of inconsistent knot tightness, too tight knots and pulling the loose leading strings in the back too tight. What you can do while knotting to avoid it, is to try not too pull the strings too tight and try to pull consistently on your strings when making knots. What can help after you already finished the bracelet is to cut the loose strings in the back once you are finished. |

@xochitlltm if you are using embroidery thread (which is usually 6 strands), you could have knotted an individual thread into another strand. |
