i’ve seen alphas with flat ends and starts (example is a picture of pattern #60355 submitted by ladymacbet) but i cannot find any tutorials anywhere that actually work. there’s on video on pinterest but i doesn’t result in actual flat ends no matter how many times i try. does anyone have any idea how i can achieve this?

I sadly don't know but my recommendation would be to ask people like @ladymacbet who you saw do it.

Hey! rlly in my opinion u don´t now how u do it, this, just pass. For my works, i use wax thread (ONly for basestrings) wich is more harder and keep always in the same place and this works so well for me!! with embroidery floss this costs a little bit more <3 !!

there’s multiple ways to get it flat. @tiassie has a tutorial on one, another way is—i know it’s shown in the video that masha knots did for shaped keychains—but u have to like kinda do a backwards triangle end. what @ladymacbet did could possibly be a combination of both?
