I started using glitter/sparkle string. I usually knot both ends to prevent fraying. Even thought I’m tightening my working string and keeping the tension taught, the knot becomes loose. It doesn’t matter if it’s BFK or FK. Sometimes my working string’s knots will flip and base strings will become visible. Has this happened to anyone else? Suggestions?

Knots flipping like that usually mean that you’re tying them too tight

If your knot flips then just tug on the base string

I use DMC etoile because it’s sparkly but it’s soft like normal string the only thing that’s not that great about it is that it’s a bit fluffy but you’d not notice in a bracelet so yeah

I’ve tried tugging on base strings and working string will still flip. I use the rougher glitter DMC string. I’ll try the “fluffier” one.
