Since tip 1 can be a bit confusing for a beginner who might have never heard about the straight edges technique, I'll go a bit more into detail 🙂

To use this technique, you need to replace the left most knot of each row with a bf knot and the rightmost knot of each row with a fb knot. This way the edge will be smoother and less bumpy.

It can also help to make the bracelet straighter in general, but it is not the only factor that plays into it. Not knotting too tightly and having a consistent knot tightness will also help.

adding onto tip 1. To make the edges smooth and less bumpy you need to replace the left most knot of each row with a backward forward knot and the rightmost knot of each row with a forward backward knot. This will make the edge will be smoother and less bumpy.

This is tip 1. in more detail.

So, for each edge knot, for example would it be on the left side of row 1 you would do a bf knot, and on the opposite end on the right, you would do a fb knot, and then the start of row 2, also on the right, would be another fb knot, and the end of row 2 on the left would be a bf knot?
