Why are my knots angled to the right and left?

I’m working on an alpha bracelet and when I backwards forward knots they are obviously angled to the left, it’s an extreme angle. I try pulling the string directly up but I still get the same look, how can I fix this?

It is completely normal that the knots tilt to the side in alphas.You could try experimenting with the angle you pull your leading string at to see if it makes a difference. |

Tying your knots looser will generally make them less tilted, but it depends on how tightly you tie them now
