I have been making bracelets and the side that is forward knots (for example chevron) come out clean and just *chefs kiss* 💋 but when I do my backwards knots it looks like someone stabbed it lol. They come out so bumpy and bad and I don’t know how to fix it. If Anyone has any tips I would love if you could share them.
(I’ve also never heard of someone with this problem lol)

When I make my backward knots I do a backwards four. Do you make fours with your string or do you do something els to make a knot.

You could try making more patterns with backward knots to try to make them match up with the tension of your forward knots. For example, candy stripes, but instead of all forward knots, do all backward knots

I think you could try holding a thread closer to a knot, it makes knotting easier and you have more control

This is probably happening because you are more used to making forward knots compared to backward knots and I know that I also struggle with it sometimes! You'll most likely get better at backward knots overtime so just be patient but if you do want to practice them then you can try making bracelets that have more backward knots in them.
