I’m not sure if this has been asked before but I would like to know how people make their knots so squared and straight I know it takes practice but there has to be more to that right? I would appreciate some tips ^_^

Pushing up on the knots after you finish a row helps a lot!!

Making your knots looser usually helps. You can also experiment with the angle that you pull your leading string to tighten it as you make knots

Try using a ruler to push up you knots. Masha Knots has a tutorial on how to make better alphas, I would recommend watching her video.

Adding on the previous replies, you can also pull on the edge base strings, both left and right. So you just pull them downwards and outwards gently and this prevents the sides of the bracelet to ride upwards and keeps the rows straight.
