So im about to try my very first flat alpha bracelet. Does anyone have a good pattern to start off with?

three colors for alphas are good. it get u used to 1-1-1 color switches but not too many that it’s difficult.

As @Rowsitt said: pick a pattern with no more than two to three colours. If you want to keep them small/manageable, pick something with 20 or less base strings.

In my experience you can do the flat alpha thingy on and alpha pattern. Hope it works out 4 u thoug!
