Hi so I just started to make alphas and they are turning out not as well as I would like them to, they just don’t look right and they are not as great as others I have seen In pictures of the patterns and I was wondering if anyone had any tips to give me on how to make my alphas neater.

if your edges are bumpy, use the straight edge technique for alphas, which is fb knots on the right side and bf knots on the left side of the bracelet. to get flatter alphas, use the flat alpha technique!! @Racoon (Masha Knots) has a great tutorial which I will link below. also, don't double down on yourself on being bad at alphas when you have just started! gurl, I bet that you are such a great crafter, and these things take practice!! my first alpha was horrible too, until I discovered all the techniques that can improve your alphas. p.s. don't tie your knots too tight. that makes the bracelet warp, widen and contract. instead, make looser knots and push them up with a ruler to create a straight row. hope this helps! ❤️

I agree! I use the flat alpha technique and it makes it look so much cleaner. I also use a thread bobbin to push my rows up on bracelets bc it makes it more manageable than a ruler. I also would recommend practicing your alphas on simple pattern like #33464 bc it has a design in the middle and solid color for multiple rows on either side to practice the techniques and knotting. I hope that helps! Happy knotting!❤️
