Hello my fellow Knotters,When I’m working on Alpha patterns I count the boxes to ensure it corresponds to the number of strings. It never fails that I’m either off by 1-2 strings or over. Has this happened to anyone else? |

The pattern also adds the leading string to the string count, so if there are 20 base strings then the pattern will say there are 21 strings overall

I also recommend looking at the dimensions of the pattern. For example if a pattern has the dimensions 10 x 20 it has 10 base strings and 20 rows. You could of course also do it the other way around. 😄
