So I just finished my first alpha and I’m super hype but I’d like to get some feedback on how I can can improve. I’ve submitted a pic that will hopefully be accepted soon so you can check it out. I know I need to make sure my strings are behind now so hopefully that will make my edges a little straighter next time. I don’t think it went horrible and I just want to improve so if you could drop a comment on how to improve that would make me OVERJOYED : )

Try to tuck in any excess strings to the back or include them in your rows when knotting to avoid them sticking out. I’m also not sure how you knot your bracelet, but it will probably be easier for you to use a clipboard to hold down your bracelet and push it up as you make more rows to keep the edges straighter.I’m always looking to improve my alphas as well, so these were just some tips I picked up that I thought I would share. |

Your bracelet is definitely something you should be proud of! The best piece of advice I can give on alphas is to practice practice practice. I still am not super confident on my alphas yet but the more I practice the more I have improved. And I feel like you are on the way to success. If you need any bracelets/keychains that are good for beginners patterns #55287 #76401 #43965. I hope these help and I wish you the best of luck on your next creations.

First off- that looks amazing!! Good job! Second- I would try to cut my excess strings ( once I’m done with the bracelet) as close to the bracelet as possible, so they won’t be visible sticking out the sides/ back. I would also 💯% recent using the flat alpha/ straight edges technique. It helps the bracelet be cleaner and the edges nicer. Also- practice! It helps so much to just go for it. Like I said, I love your bracelet and hope this can help you!!

Congrats on making your first alphas! It certainly looks better than my first one! Lol 😂 but the things that mostly helped me Improve to where I am now with my alphas is the flat alpha color switch and the straight edge technique, it may not look like a big difference at first, but with more improvement it will look better with those techniques! But, be proud of your first alpha, it’s definitely an accomplishment!
