starting alpha row with new color

help!!! im doing my very first alpha and watched some tutorials but none of them say how to start an alpha row with a different color! im doing pattern #95371 and all the flowers are on the sides - how do i make it look clean?!?

use the straight edge technique. masha knots explains it in her flat alpha tutorial. makes ur edges clean and fixed that problem of color switches on the edges
