when i start a bracelet (i normally do loops or braided ties) the beginning is always a disaster. the colors are never in the right order so they go all over the place. i’ve tried to do triangle ends but i messed up and ended up taking it out. especially bracelets with lots of strings, how do you start you bracelets and keep it neat and organized?

Try triangle ends again! If you havent seen masha knots tutorial i highly recommend - i use triangle ends every time and it works perfectly

I would definitely recommend doing triangle ends. start with smaller bracelets, so you can learn the technique, then move to doing bigger ones. the only other thing you could do is start in a straight line, just put your strings all in order and tape them down.

I always pull the strings where I want until they adjust and then I tape them down : o

I put a bit of tape on the table, sticky side up, or hold it in my hand and lay my strings on it, only very loosely in about the right order, but not exactly. Then I stick the tape to a book (that could as well be a table or whatever underground you use) but fix only the upper half of the tape to the book. Then I adjust the strings that aren't in the correct order, yet. It's quite easy when the lower part of the tape isn't 100% stuck to the book, yet. When the strings are in perfect order, I secure them with the lower part of the tape.

If you are doing a teardrop loop or a triangle end, you can screenshot or print your pattern and draw your start on it, so for exaple draw the triangle end so the pattern looks like the start you'd want to do, then you can see what knots you'd have to do inside the triangle and which strings are needed and in which order. This way you can know which strings to put first and last. This is explained better in masha knots' video about triangle ends or teardrop loops.

This happens to me with EVERY bracelet I have ever made! I don’t know how do fix it so I just tape em down and it looks messy at first but then it straightens out! ❤️

I start my bracelet by tying all the threads together with an overhand knot. Then, when I start knotting, I do the first row 1/2 in - 1 in down from the knot, if that makes sense. I do the first two rows at once to lock them in a straight line. It takes a little practice but it works for me without having to do a lot of setup.
