so if you are making a alpha, are you just making forward and backward knots on the base strings ? 🤔

yea. there’s also a straight edge technique tho where u do forward backward knots on the far right string and backward forward knots on the far left string.

Yep! you just make forwards and backwards knots on the base strings. If you are using the straight edges strings, then you are also making forward-backward and backward-forward knots on the edges of your design. hope this has helped you understand more about making alphas!
