How do I make my bracelet straight?

Eventually as I'm knotting, the longer the bracelet the more crooked it sits from the loop at the top. The bracelet shifts slightly to the left instead of going straight down. Could this happen because when I pull the knots tight I'm pulling the strings too far to the side? I've noticed I pull both strings to the left and right when I pull the knots tight

What I have recently discovered that works very well for me is to tape or clip down the bracelet at several points once it gets longer so it always stays in a straight line and I don't pull it to either side as much.I'm using a clip board and my current setup is: - the bracelet is clipped down - a little bit beneath the clip, I have a little tube attached with tape through which I can pull the bracelet - I always put the bracelet, so it ends slightly beneath the tube. Once it gets longer I just slide the bracelet up a bit |

I usually keep the bracelet taped
