I’ve been in a slump for a while now. My dad passed away and I just haven’t felt like making anything. But I have a shop opened and I need to restock. Any tips??

Also try to make smaller patterns that go by quick, that always works for me. Looking at pictures and watching YouTube videos helps too. Sorry for your loss I hope you are going better 🙂

Really sorry for your loss! I used to have a bunch of bracelets unfinished, and so what I did was I had a lot of dance photos to be taken, and I bought outfits according to those bracelets, and as much as the photos were important to me, I pushed myself into finishing the bracelets .. funny story actually 😊.. again, I’m tremendously sorry for your loss and I hope your family is okay now..

im really sorry for your loss. that must be so hard. my thoughts go out to your family at this very difficult time. ❤️ ❤️maybe you could make a keychain/bracelet/bookmark/anything of one of his favourite things and use it often to remind you of his amazing life. ❤️ ❤️ |

I didn't see the thing related to the shop, maybe you could sell items related to him or his interests?

First off I’m so sorry for your loss. And I know a lot about bracelet slumps cause literally after I make every single bracelet I go into a slump, so I buy new string, make a pattern I really like, watch videos and look at pictures of bracelets, add new patterns to my todos, watch bracelet time lapses, use special string like multicolor or sparkly, try new string brands, remake some of my favorite bracelets, finish unfinished bracelets, use string I haven’t used yet, and wrap string on bobbins/organize my string, if I can remember more then I will tell you.

There are many ways to get out of bracelet slumps. To be honest I get into them soooo much! But that just makes it more likely for me to give advice to people who are struggling with it too! There are tons of different ways to get out of bracelet slumps. Here they are: 1. Just go out and buy new strings at a craft store near you. It doesn't have to be a really super big haul but just something small could bring up you excitment to make a new bracelet! 2. You can just wait out your slump. Eventually, like this has happened to me, you will begin to miss making bracelets so much that you will just pick up some string and start making a bracelet! 3. Make a pattern you know you enjoy making. Like if you have a pattern that you have already made and you specifically remember loving it, then make that. 4. Surf for cool patterns. As you know, there are tons of different awesome patterns here on braceletbook.com. You can go hunting and adding stuff to your todos and find somehting you REALLY want to make. 5. Look at photos of bracelets that other people have made. Another example of how you can use bracelet book as a resource. You can go on the photos tab of braceletbook and look at all of the cool bracelets everyone is making! That might inspire you to make more too! I hope this has been helpful to you! If you need more advice then I suggest watching Masha Knots video on Youtube on how to get out of slumps. @Racoon Well good luck getting out of your slump! Happy knotting! -@stewon6969 |

sorry for ur loss. ): and one thing that helps me is asking a friend or family member if they'd like me to make them one! that way, i can usually pick the pattern, it's fun, it holds me accountable, and it's super gratifying to give something for someone!
