I’ve never made an alpha before and I’d like to make one but I have no idea where to start and it seems difficult so I’m typing this to ask those who have made alphas before what my first alpha pattern should be ʕง•ᴥ•ʔง

The first one I finished was #73917 and it turned out to be a good choice. Just two colours and big areas of colour (= only few colour changes) were very beginner friendly.

I would suggest picking a smaller pattern that is 10-14 strings, has three colors max., and no color switches that are two consistent.

Most alphas with only 2 colors and no more than 20ish strings are good first alphas. My first one was #24910.
