I am having a really hard time making straight edged alpha key chains. What do i do you keep them straight. I’ve tried forward backward knots and it still doesn’t work

Make sure that you’re making a fb/bf knot at the beginning and end of each row. So what I mean is that the last knot of every row should be a fb/bf knot and the first knot of every row should be a bf/fb knot. If you’re doing that and it’s still not straight, try loosening your knots and pushing up the rows with a ruler or some other straight edge.

@Monkeubut1 yeah I watched that and it didn’t help so I was confused but then I realized that it was because I tied my knots too tight and didn’t use a straight edge

I had to rewatch it over and over but if you are knotting as she is in the video you can see how and where things may be going wrong. That's what I had to do soo idk if this will help you.

try to keep the base strings on the edges in the same position, and don't make the knots too tight or they will look a bit chunky and lumpy
