Hi! I started bracelet making “seriously” this year! I joined BB last June and I made two bracelets : one arrowhead + one alpha (a Lilo + Stitch pattern hahahah). I am now on my fourth Alpha pattern after finishing my second keychain last night. I use the straight edges + flat alpha techniques and absolutely love both of them! I also don’t experience any difficulties or holes in any of the bracelets I’ve made so far. One thing that I have noticed + hope to solicit help for is that the rows with my color switching are usually uneven from my base background color. Is there anything i can do to fix it? They really aren’t major issues/mistakes but I am a perfectionist so it drives me crazy!! Also- I’ve noticed that on the edges occasionally my backward/forward and forward/backward knots can also seem uneven at times. Do these problems correct themselves with time or is there a certain technique I should try to achieve/attain? Thank you so incredibly much for any help you can give me in advance, I greatly appreciate it!🥰

Hey 😊 I can relate to the perfectionist thing a lot and these are problems even I face sometimes 😂
For uneven rows, one of the problems may be that you might making your knots tighter, which can result in bumpy or uneven knots when colour switching. I would suggest loosening your knots. It will take some trial and error but you will get there 😊 I have also started doing that recently and the results have been better in my case.
Also make sure you are using strings of the same thickness as this will ensure even knots.
I would suggest the same for the edge knots- even string tension, not too tight not too loose.

And these problems will solve themselves with practice and the more bracelets you make. You will get there soon. All the best ❤️

I had the same problem with the edges. I fixed it by holding the last base string tighter while make the knots on the edges
