Why do you have to be 17 to be a mod?

Why do you have to be at least 17 to be a moderator? I know some people might post inappropriate things like on patterns, but if someone under that age got a parents permission, would that be okay? The moderator team, might want someone who is a little older like 13, 14, or 15. I was just wondering 🙂

Yeah, like a lot of places can’t hire under 16 year olds. So 17 gives a year gap

I heard that the admin could get in trouble if minors see inappropriate content because I’ve heard from mods that people sometimes try to post inappropriate content since new users probably don’t know that it has to be approved or that it can be deleted.
