has anyone tried using wires for the last (hidden) strings?

Sometimes I look at peoples bracelets and they are so perfect I imagine they have to have some wire/harder material in there. Does it make the bracelet better/stronger?

I don’t think they use wire because you’d be able to tell when they make the ties and the knots would probably slip off. What I like to do is size 3 crotchet thread for my base strings and it can help make the bracelet sturdier/neater.

i don’t see how you could use a wire for a normal…. since they’re not that flexible and you have to constantly move the strings around. wire might actually be more difficult (with an alpha) because sometimes i push and pull my bracelet to kinda make it straighter. and sometimes i make the knot with my base string and then flip the color if the leading string is too short
