How do I know how long to make the end a of the bracelet?

I want to make an alpha bracelet that is just two colors and with a word in the middle, but I don’t know how long to make the solid color on each end of the word so that the word is centered. Help?

That depends on the word and the size of the wrist it’s going on. Just make sure however many lines you put before the word you do the same on the other side.
