Whenever I make a bracelet with long strings they ALWAYS get tangled and sometimes I can’t even remove the knots and had to scrap a bracelet because if that :c hoe can I avoid my string from getting tangled and how can I remove really tricky knots?

@vanesa0_0 it will probably look a little weird if you cut it off (especially if you already started the pattern). I would suggest trying to take apart your rows and start over, modify the pattern, or just start over completely)

Regarding tangled strings, usually I wrap every single string around a big roll of tesa tape, take the string bundle and make a knot with it. This way it stays the way it is. If a string gets too short, I can open the knot and make the string longer. Downside: Strings with knot-bundles at the end need to be arranged very carefully because else they'll tangle. By far not as bad as long strings, but enough to be annoying.

when they start to tangle, untangle them before they get too bad. it’s frustrating but try to be gentle and patient. sometimes if i can’t get them untangled i ask someone in my family if they can try to untangle it for me (:

Here are some ideas for how to keep your long strings un-tangled that I’ve seen on IG: (1) Winding the long string around a clothes peg or bull clip, and then securing the end with the clip end of things; or (2) winding the long string around a bobbin. In both situations you unwind as you go along.
