I have a problem with my Alpha bracelets

So I’ve recently tried alpha bracelets. I’ve been making bracelets for 3 years and have never tried them. When I do the forward backwards knot instead of two forwards and two backwards I can see the base strings. Also my transitions aren’t working out very well I’m doing the flat one but I’m still struggling with it. Are there any tips or easy patterns you can recommend??

Maybe try holding the base strings in place when you make knots onto them and making your knots a little tighter.

Try pushing up after each row with a ruler or flat edge. Remember that it takes practice to get better, so don’t be too worried

You need to do two fb knots on the right edge and two bf knots on the left edge, not just one. The two knots will be replacing the forward knot and backward knot (or backward knot and forward knot), so doing only one fb or bf knot will make the base strings visible like you described. For the color changes, other than making sure you’re not tying your knots too tightly, practice will probably help you the most. I recommend making patterns that only have two colors.
