how long do alphas take?

I just recently started making alpha bracelets and they take me soooo long to make. I will take me over six hours to make a small keychain and several days to make a full bracelet. I’ve seen people in tik tok say it takes them only 2 hours to make an alpha bracelet. Is there something I can do to knot faster or does it really take that long?

I have been trying to find alpha patterns that have fewer colors or fewer switches in between colors. For example, an alpha bracelet such as #38672 or #34719 are gonna be very easy because they only have two colors and the color isn't switching every other knot. Alpha patterns like #17976 and #17707 switch colors very often so they are a bit harder to make and take a lot longer because you can't just continuously knot

ones w color switched do take longer, but i’ve found that i’ve just gotten faster over time so yeah

Alphas for me personally (it depends on the person) takes longer than normal bracelets, just because you are doing row by row knotting instead of segment knotting. The color changes sometimes can get a little tedious, so that adds to the time too. I think the shortest an alpha has taken me is a couple of days (just because of school and stuff). The longest is probably a couple weeks.

Also, over time, as you get faster and faster at knotting and color changes, the time to take them decreases 🙂
