How do you make a 50/50 loop for a normal bracelet?

Hi everyone! I have a question but how do you make a loop for a normal pattern where strings of different color end on a different end? For example with Masha Knots video when she makes a chevron that is black and white on one side and rainbow on the other but she had a loop on it. How do you make it so that the colors stay on either side? Since a loop requires the strings to be folded in half Iโm confused as to how itโs done that way the colors stay on different sides. Can someone explain the method?
