So, I'm guessing you are having trouble finding string. Well, I can help with that. You can get it from your local craft store like Micheals or Hobby Lobby. You can get yarn, but most recommended is embroidery floss.

You can get string just about anywhere, but that doesn’t mean it will be great quality. DMC thread will probably be the best quality thread out there, and you can get it at Walmart and most craft stores!

@Nopassword, you can get embroidery floss at Hooby lobby, Michael's and Amazon. I went to hobby lobby the other day and they are having a 30% of the embroidery floss sale. Their Dmc thread was also 69 cents

you've totally come to the right place! I love to buy from Michael's because it is the closest to my house, but Joann's, Hobby Lobby, Walmart, and Blick Art Supplies all carry floss in their stores! If you are super interested in Alpha patterns, I recommend picking up a spool of Aunt Lydia's crochet yarn in the size 10. If you are a super fan of online shopping, DMC sells all of their floss on their website, and Amazon always has great deals on larger quantities of floss!!! I hope this helps a bit!

Designated craft stores (Michaels, joanne fabrics, etc.) usually have organized displays of string. DMC is my favorite brand. Its easiest to work with as it does not get caught/knotty easily.

I just wanted to say make sure to get DMC thread. I have used others and (prepare for a horror story) the string BROKE as I was tying a knot. I get mine at Walmart and Hobby Lobby. It’s the best!
