I want to make a bookmark for my gran using pattern #32373 like bed_potato's picture, but don't know how to create the little hole for the tassel to go through (to look like the one in the photo). I tried looking up walkthroughs but I couldn't really find any that didn't add additional rows on top or that were as small/inconspicuous as the one in that picture. Also interested in how the end of that their one was done. I've tried looking at the knots closely but just can't work it out. Help?

I'm not sure what you mean by adding rows but this is the tutorial people usually use https://youtu.be/wJDV7bfqZos

If you don't like this one what you could potentially do is use one leading strings for the first half and another one for the second half and you don't connect the halves so there's a gap.

Yeah, I saw that video but the loop was too big and I was unsure how to make it as small and neat as the photo I mentioned. For additional lines I just meant added rows on the pattern to put the loop vs. not needing any added rows on top before you start the pattern, if that makes sense?

I just want to emulate the look of bed_potato's image on pattern #32373 (that small little hole right in the middle) but am unsure how to.

Two leading strings is a good suggestion. I had thought of it but was unsure how to then incorporate the strings back to just one leading string again. Knot one of them to the base strings and then just carry on with the other?

in the reference picture to me it looks like they just took a needle with embroidery string on it and threaded it through the bracelet. i may be wrong but you can probably message the person and they might tell you how. 😉

Oh that's such a good idea! Thank you! I messaged them about a week ago but haven't had a response yet so I posted here. Do you know how to make the knots on the bottom?

Thanks for the reply! I watched that video before. I guess to make it smaller+within the pattern I can just cut out some of the knots and close it sooner?
