Hi there!
I’m pretty new to making bracelets, what’s the best way to tie off/start one? I’ve been tying a single knot at the beginning (as to make a loop), then braiding off the end so it can tie through the loop. Sorry if that’s vague! Thanks so much!!

It’s personal preference really. A lot of the time I just do a loop and braids but if I’m selling a bracelet or swapping and I want it to be a little more professional I’ll do a finished loops and endings.

Starting my bracelet, I like to use a square knot to make a loop. To end my bracelet, I like to do two simple braids.

For mine I prefer to do a braid at the beginning and a braid at the end - either 3 stranded braid or 4 stranded braid.

How do you do finished loops? Is there a good tutorial anywhere?

@Macaron there are a few tutorials on this site and you can also look up Marsha Knots on YouTube. She has good tutorials on how to start and finish bracelets.

I like to tie a loop so I can put it on my water bottle and then braid. Then I do the bracelet, braid again, and make an adjustable knot.

I do a finished loop, then usually triangle ends and two twists (I watch a lot of Masha Knots)
