I haven't made bracelets in years, and was thinking of getting back into it. I don't think I properly learned how to tie knots for bracelets with an odd number of strings in a pattern, though. Do I double the length, and then leave one string unused? Also wondering how to manage patterns with lots of strings. The largest pattern I have ever attempted was roughly 40.

Well welcome back to the hobby! 😊 I generally cut my strings and fold in half and then just cut that one string the length of the folded strings. So if there are 17 strings I cut 8 long strings and fold in half and then the seventeenth string I cut the length of the folded string.
