Your photo has to be reviewed by a moderator before it is uploaded to the website. The review process usually takes less than a day and if you want to know what the mods look for you can look at the review guidelines. If your photo still hasn't been accepted/declined after 2 days, it is possible that it wasn't submitted correctly and it's worth trying again.

There’s also a slight possibility it may have failed to be submitted. Always wait for the ‘your photo has been successfully submitted’ notification before you move to another page.
