i’ve been making bracelets for a while and i would say i’m pretty good, but i tried making a new kind and i’m getting holes in them. could it be the design or is it just me?

Sometimes I get holes in mine too. Mostly it's a tightness issue. Try pulling the same throughout the bracelet and make sure your knots are tight (both normal and alpha). I know my alphas occasionally have holes where the colors change. If you're having difficulty with that, I'd recommend watching a video by Masha knots on tying alphas.
