Toofers Advanced	3 years, 9 months ago by Toofers I don't know if i've already said this but i keep seeing these in the forums, things that have to do with self harm, suicide, mental illness like things about talking about problems need to be blocked. there are very young users on here who do not need to see how someone wants to hurt themselves or how "quirky" it is to have mental illness. i understand having in your bio that you'll listen but 11 year olds dont need to be talking about that and 8 year olds dont need to read it, this should be a safe sight? for bracelets? not to talk about that kind of stuff, you can use literally any other media platform

I see your concern, but from what I've seen about those topics, is how these users are trying to prevent people from harming themselves. If anything they said was negative or inappropriate, the moderators and/or admin would remove their comments. Although, I do agree that kids should not have to see or read about incidents when people would hurt themselves, even if it's about stopping it. I would suggest messaging one of the team members if this really concerns you, or if you see any problems and/or negaticity coming out of those topics. 🙂
crafter83 Bracelet King	3 years, 9 months ago by crafter83 I know someone who was nine and wanted to commit suicide. It can happen at a young age and frankly if they are considered to young to read that kind of stuff, they shouldn’t be on a chat website in the first place.
Toofers Advanced	3 years, 9 months ago by Toofers people will go behind their parents back and this is supposed to be a place to make bracelets n stuff what if a parent helps them make the account and they just want to help what are you suppose to do then this is also triggering topics to other users who have dealt with these sorts of things before. this is suppose to be a SAFE place to make BRACELETS, not get therapy from other fellow 9 year olds. i dont feel comfortable going on here or letting a child of mine be on this website if i found out that was a public thing happening. i dont care what happens in dms, but this should not be mentioned kids are commercializing mental illness and are making it seem quirky when its not and are all like "oh yes i have a million problems" when in all reality they're just wanting attention because they dont get enough. a website for bracelets is not a place for therapy. its not to find 'fellow mentally ill patients" "woohoo got my crazy socks on just got out of the hospital" like hello??? not appropriate at all for people to be viewing no matter who you are

Deer-Teeth Bracelet King	3 years, 9 months ago by Deer-Teeth @crafter83 the reason why people don't get help is because so many people fake it or have made it trendy. i can understand getting help, im perfectly okay with that, but those should not be mentioned because of how triggering it can be to see those kinds of things. those personally make me sick to my stomach and can start a crying fit in me. i know there are thousands like me. like i said, this is suppose to be a safe place. because of media there are kids out there who arent in those homes who start doing things for attention. they'll pretend to have tourettes, or to be bipolar, they COMMERCIALIZE mental illness for themselves and others instead of desensitizing eole to it. its NOT quirky to self harm , its NOT quirky to have this and that done to you, it doesnt make you special. there are so many instances with people lying about those kinds of stuff and it HARMS those who DO have these issues so you think that a 2nd grader deserves to learn about killing themselves, about harming themselves? a freaking 2ndd grader who is still learning basic math, who can barely read. who came here to make friends in the forums and meet people who are similar, and instead get stories about how people are "hanging off a ledge" thats just wrong. just like how you cant talk about politics or certain subjects like you mentioned and im pretty sure your response will get taken down for saying that because every other comment on here mentioning it does, we should do the same on here because its not okay in the slightest. you make friends, talk in dms, stuff like that. dont come out in the open to thousands of people that you're suicidal because thats not okay. suicide isnt something that people should een consider an option, you put ideas into the heads of others and its wrong

Like I find it frightening the amount of parents who thinks it’s normal for their kid to be able message hundreds of strangers from around the world. Also I’m not replying to this topic anymore cause I just came on here to show the other side, not to be hated on.

Here are the rules from our guidelines that apply to this - comments and forum posts should not be upsetting - all the content posted to the site should also be appropriate for a younger audience
