String length for anklets?

How long should I cut my strings if I want to make an anklet? I'm going to be doing a 4 string normal, and I know the strings should be longer than when you make a bracelet, but I'm not sure what length to cut them. ๐

@stormii I would make it longer than the length u would cut for a bracelet as your ankle is more likely to be thicker. What pattern are u making?

for four strings, i would say like from your finger tips, to the opposite shoulder. cuz it needs to be a little longer, but if your patterns gonna be only 4 strings, your strings will be more efficient in making the pattern length wise than width wise, so you wonโt need as much as say a thicker bracelet

I generally use a wingspan for a standard bracelet and add an extra arms length for an anklet (folded, obviously).

I would either extend the length by 1/2 or double the usual amount that you would normally use for a bracelet. ๐
