Unfortunately, you cannot make patterns from the app but only the website. On the website you can click your username and select create pattern.

Go to the website on mobile or desktop, log in, and the pattern generator is there

@josiehowl I don’t think you can on the app but go to the website and find the pattern that you want to change. Then click on add a variation and change the colors as you please. You have to get permission from the original creator to post the variation but if you don’t, you can still look at it.
