Hey guysss! I used Masha Knots video on making a tear drop and I have done it a few times in the past. I am trying to make pattern 30420 with the teardrop. I already made the teardrop but I did not realize the pattern in not symmetrical. For example, I need both A's on one side but since I made the teardrop already I have one on each side. I know I could undo the knots but I was wondering if there was any way I could continue with what I have. I hope this makes sense.

Hi Yes there is a way to continue this pattern. So the color you used for the teardrop loop you do 1 square knot over all of the strings and then they strings will be gathered together. Next you start sorting your strings to whatever side they need to be on. I hope this is not too confusing. If it is just let me know.

@RHoude i think i understand. so the teardrop will end with white (i used white for the loop) would i still make a V on the pattern after i connect the loop?

I think it would probably work out better if you did it like MashaKnots describes it in her video "making a loop with odd numbers of thread".You fold all the strings you need on one side in half. Then you pull the strings you need for the other side through where you folded them and also fold them in half. If you make a loop and then connect it using a square knot you won't be able to do a teardrop loop. |
