forward Backward knot and backward forward knot help!!

I have heard from many bracelet makers that they would do this forward backward knot at the beginning and end of the row. I just wonder on which one goes first for the beginning and the ending of the row. Does the forward backward knot go at the beginning and the backward forward knot at the end? Also if your going backwards, does that change or stay the same? I'm so confused!!! 🤔 🤔 🤔 🤔 😭 😭 😭 🙈 🙈 🙈

if this helps you do half the knot the direction you were going (so if you were doing a forward knot row do half a forward knot and vice versa) then the opposite so you’re putting the string in the direction you’re about to do the next row. so how i think about it is out of the bracelet then back in
