When creating a pattern, should you make it vertically or horizontally? Like should the dimensions be like 30 x 10 or 10 x 30. Should the pattern be vertical and you read the pattern sideways or horizontal?

i personally would make it going vertically if the pattern has some sort of character and horizontaly if you would make it sideways (hope that made sense)

The generator picks the dimensions automatically so you always have the least amount of base strings, but you should make sure that your design is upright in the preview so it looks nice in the preview.
