Hiii I have a few questions and it would be really nice if someone could answer them. So my first question is how can I enter challenges? Do I have to be at a special rank or something? And then my second question is how I can make my own patterns. Thanks a lot already!

You can enter official challenges by just making one of the patterns that were chosen and uploading a photo of it with the word “challenge”. For challenges that are not official you can just join them in the forum by answering or asking to join.

To make your own patterns you have to be on the website, you can’t make patterns on the app. Then just click on your name and there are a few tabs that will show, click on create patters and then just choose between normal or alpha, hope this helped! If you have any questions you can always message me

Hiiii!! To enter challenges click "forum" at the top of your screen then scroll until you see the section "challenges" you can participate and make your own!! You can be in any rank. To make your own patterns you hover over your profile and click "create patterns" there you can make Alfa and normal patterns! I hope this helps!

@cole_62489 to make a pattern “acceptable”, you need to add some kind of complexity to the pattern. For example, you can make a text pattern as long as you add something to it, like #79404 where I added terrazzo to the background. You can also make image patterns as long as they’re tweaked and not too easily replicable. For example, #77226, I used to a photo to make it, but the original photo needed tweaking because there were a lot of extra colors. That pattern took at least a couple hours to make, so if you put a lot of effort into a pattern, hopefully it can get accepted. If you have any other questions though, feel free to ask me

I recommend checking out our guidelines. They include a list of patterns we no longer accept. https://www.braceletbook.com/review-guidelines/

To make a word pattern acceptable you need to add some unique and complex decoration.

When using "alpha from image" you first need to tweak the pattern in "draw alpha" before it is acceptable. We have tutorials on how you can do this:
https://www.braceletbook.com/tutorials/74_how-to-tweak-patterns/
https://www.braceletbook.com/tutorials/120_making-better-outlines-for-alpha-patterns/

Before submitting a pattern please try to eliminate the automated warnings on top. Warnings being there makes it less likely that the pattern will be accepted. Here is a tutorial that might be helpful for understanding the warnings and how to fix them. https://www.braceletbook.com/tutorials/140_normal-pattern-warnings-and-how-to-fix-them/ The tutorial is mainly for normal patterns but can be useful for alpha patterns as well.

@cole_62489 it seems like a lot in the beginning but most of the things you can learn by playing around with the generator.

Reading the guidelines is recommended because you have a better understanding of what requirements a pattern needs to meet in order to be accepted. It also saves us moderators work because we are less likely to decline your patterns but you will also learn from having your patterns declined. It will just take longer.

You don't need to read the tutorials. They can be helpful when you run into problems but it is possible to solve these problems without having ever read any of the tutorials.

I just wanted to give you every possible helpful information. I'm sorry it was overwhelming.
