You could also make it on a popsicle stick or toothpick if you have them around your house.

To find food wallhangings, you could search for food in the search bar, order by loves, and specify the number of strings you want, (probably from 20-40) As for what to make it on, I would suggest using wooden dowels that can be found at craft stores, but you can use sticks, popsicle sticks, or anything else you find.
