How much string should I use?

Hello! I'm planning on making an alpha with 11 base strings, but I don't know how much string I should use for the ones that go across. My wrists are really small, probably somewhere around 6 1/4 inches (around the wrist). Please help!

What I do for alpha patterns is take the length I want the pattern to be and double it, that’s takes into account the braiding for the tails. But really you just have to get the hang of it, it’s a good benchmark to start with though!
